Funeral Director
A graduate of Columbia County Christian School (Class of 2008), Wayne began his professional journey by enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he served with distinction for four years of active duty. Wayne was an intelligence analyst working with F-15E Strike Eagle aircrew where they served a deployment together in Afghanistan. Following his military service, he returned to Columbia County and contributed to the local community through his work with several area businesses.
Driven by a passion for learning and professional growth, Wayne pursued higher education at Harrisburg Area Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree. He later graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science while completing his Funeral Directing internship at a funeral home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience.
Wayne is happily married to Anna R. (Hays) McMichael, and the couple will soon celebrate their ten-year anniversary. Together, they are proud parents to their four-year-old son, Rowan Jay McMichael. Outside of work, Wayne enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors through activities such as hiking and fishing.
Wayne brings a deep sense of commitment and compassion to
his role, reflecting his dedication to serving our community with care and
professionalism. As part of the McMichael Funeral Home team, he is excited to
uphold the tradition of excellence that has been a hallmark of our service.
