Sheila E. (Davenport) Tripp, 75, of rural Stillwater, (Huntington Township), died early Monday morning, February 23, 2026 at the Gardens at Millville.
Born May 15, 1950 in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Cletus V. and Audrey (Beaver) Davenport. She and her husband, Kenneth V. Tripp, would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on August 3rd.
Sheila was a 1968 graduate of Northwest Area High School and earned her Associate Degree in Social Services from Luzerne County Community College.
She drove a van for special needs children three years for the Wyoming Valley West and Northwest Area School Districts. She had also been employed by the former Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater.
She enjoyed being a homemaker; cooking, baking, sewing and even wallpapering. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed writing.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Ken, are her two daughters: Charlotte K. Moss and her husband, David, of Stillwater; Spring R. Leamont and her husband, Lou, of Benton; five grandchildren: Dustin, Colton, Olivia, Roman and Moriah; one great granddaughter, Peyton; her siblings: Harry W. Warner, Richard Davenport, and Faith Garrett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy Matthew Tripp in June 1991 and by a brother, Terry Davenport.
Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487). Friends and relatives will be received Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11 at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Compassus Hospice, 575 Montour Blvd., Suite 1, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
