Years ago, she was a Girl Scout Leader in Nescopeck; bowled in a ladies bowling league in Berwick and sang with the Sweet Adelines.  She was a former member of the Benton Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her cooking, baking and especially for her homemade pies.   Upon her retirement in 1974, she dedicated her life to babysitting her grandchildren and taking care of her  family.
