Evelyn A. (English) Janney

Evelyn A. (English) Janney, 72, of Millville and formerly of Benton, died Tuesday, March  26, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. 

Born March 23, 1952 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Mark English, who died in 1997  and Margaret Ethel "Peg" (Mausteller) English, who died in 1986.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, of 43 years, Barry D. Janney, on November 5, 2014.

Evelyn was a 1970 graduate of Benton High School.  She was a member of Stillwater Christian Church.

Her life revolved around her family and she enjoyed being a homemaker;  known for her cooking and baking and playing cards.  She was known for her giving spirit which was demonstrated through the annual yard sales that she sponsored for charity.  

Surviving are her two children;  Claudette E. Adams and her husband, Michael, of Millville; Crystal L. Janney, of Millville; two grandchildren that she raised:  Deanna M. Eddards and her husband, Brad; Margaret N. Hunsinger; 3 additional grandchildren:  Karissa and Rebecca Dunn and Casey Isherwood; her great grandchildren: Gabriella, Dean, Oliver,  Lucy, Scarlett, Savannah and Preston Barry; and a great great granddaughter, Aurelia.  Also surviving are her brother Roger English and his wife, Janet, of Benton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Barry, and her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings:  Dean English on July 20, 2021; Doris Toth in 2021; Ruth English in 1998 and Robert English, who died in infancy.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the  McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton with Pastor Scott Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery.
